About
What is BSCU?
The Berkeley Student Credit Union is organized by the Haas Fintech Club — a 700+ member MBA organization — and led by students with professional backgrounds in finance, technology, and operations. Unlike traditional campus banks, BSCU is member-owned, student-governed, and digital-only: eliminating branch overhead while serving members anywhere in the world.
We follow a model with over 40 years of proven history at Georgetown and UPenn, but advance it for the digital era. UC Berkeley is the only major UC campus without a dedicated credit union. BSCU exists to change that.

Prospective Members
Current UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni. Be among the first to hold a BSCU account.
Charter Subscribers
BSCU needs at least 7 founding subscribers with backgrounds in accounting, finance, marketing, legal, or operations to formally charter the credit union. This is a rare opportunity to be part of founding a federally regulated financial institution.
Alumni Advisors
Haas and Berkeley alumni with experience in financial services, fintech, or operations. Help shape strategy and ensure continuity through student leadership transitions.
Board Members
Credit union executives and banking professionals interested in serving on BSCU's board of directors. We are building our initial board with experienced professionals who believe in the student credit union model.
